Yes, I know, I am sure you will enjoy working with this deck and I think working with a deck exclusively for a while is a good thing. I worked with the Gilded for about a year, you really get a feel for it when you do this.

Good luck, looking forward to reading how you progress.

Best wishes

Lisa, thanks for stopping by! And yes, the journey will be documented :).

Helen, I have been attracted to the look and feel of the 70's style decks from the start (as you can see. Even my mother finds it quite funny that I am fascinated with decks from this era. I know that the Morgan-Greer is considered garish to many, but to others, it feels like a close lifetime friend.

I have so many beautiful decks that I identify with in different ways, and this doesn't mean that I won't draw a card of the day or 3 card spread with them in the near future. I will. Variation makes Tarot fun. But, I felt the need to focus in order to hone in on some of the other skills I am trying to progress with. I am just glad that I didn't have to force myself to find a deck.

Warmest regards, Nicole

Hi aurarcana,

Well the deck you chose did not surprise me, although I have never been overly attracted to it, many have it and love it and it very often started out as a first deck for them.

I first started "playing" with tarot back in the 70's when I started with the Swiss 1JJ - it was the only readily available deck around at the time. I used that deck alone (in fact it was the only deck I had) for around 25 years - then I started to study tarot more seriously and now I still only have 22 tarot decks in my possession. I like to use most of my decks, and I find I am at a place in my tarot journey now where I don't need to have every deck I see - although I wouldn't mind a copy of the Deviant Moon's sister deck when it is finished.
